What do you guys and gals prefer for riding areas?

Having been seriously competitive by nature, I prefer any snow with big crowds. I like when we get sort of an organized hillclimb started, that environment gives everyone a chance to see what really works and what doesn't. Flying through the untracked powder is fine for a while, but for me head to head competitive riding/racing is alot more fun (technical or powder).

Really helpful comment...

Either... Whatever suits my fancy at the time, to be completely honest, lol

I like all kinds of riding, not much for trail, but gots to do what ya gots to do to get where ya want!!

We have to choose? ;) I love riding in the pow.....without lots of people. If I had to choose.....it'd be no people. Too much going on with lots of peeps, and there's always someone who doesn't watch out for others.

Thanks thats excactly the stuff I need to use against you when we take your areas one by one.

You guys do it to yourselves.

???.. do it to ourselves.... you skiers think you own the mountains.. and cry if there is a sled track were you have to ski :(.. ohh i feel so sorry for you.. there is only one good thing whinny skiers are for... traction :D

I am looking for a few frank answers from a genuine self admitted enviro.
1) When you decided taking freedoms from so many great people with this outward radiance of superiority, who were you most influenced by as a child and or adolescent?
2) Were you born and raised in this country?
3) When is a self admitted enviro happy? I was brought up to uphold and respect everybody's freedoms and choices, even when they differed from my own.
4) Compromise will get you through life with minimal conflict, pain and suffering. I'm just sitting here wondering how these core values most people in this country hold dear become so severely altered? I am good friends with a few forest employees that still hold these values close to their heart, so I don't believe it's an agenda brought on solely by the forest service.

come and try to get the land , you an have it just like my guns, out of my cold dead hands....next time I ride I don't brake for skiiers. By the way i ski and i am ashamed that you even think you can represent any people. go pound snow.

Thanks thats excactly the stuff I need to use against you when we take your areas one by one.

You guys do it to yourselves.

why don't you quit being such a faggot and quit trying to start sh!t on here... For that matter..... why even register? Why don't you go change into your organic speedo and go play hide the nut with your squirrel buddies. Wow....

Enviro Agenda is a poser to stir up chit.

I prefer to be where there are no crowds. I usually try to ride where there are no huge amounts of people... collisions can happen, fresh pow gets harder to find...etc..
Usually there are piles of people going to an area, because the groomer goes there. I will see hundreds of riders going up to the popular areas, and we will be the only group on our own mountain.

Sure it is fun to sit and watch, and take pokes at a hill, but I prefer to explore and always be the first to the area.

For some reason, even when I ride the popular areas on a busy weekend our group rarely encounters other groups of riders, and ofter don't even see any other tracks. Most people seem to just hang out in the popular "poser" areas and try to look cool at the bottom of the hill. :D;):beer;

Why not have it all??/

Thats where I ride most of the time

Little bit of a drive though..........

great powder with only 4-5 people. 6-7 is the max. Even that is too many. 4 guys that can ride really good is perfect. I just ride with one other guy alot. It is nicer to have 3 people when some thing happens though. A really bad stuck or having to tow some one out.
Today was bottom less, crazy deep powder. Getting around any where was a challenge and visibility wasn't very good as it was dumping all day. Only tracks we saw off trail all day was ours. Even the trails were powder and wind blown.
xp finished off my carlisle 803xs and started pulling a cord on my new ski doo 166 spare today.
I need to figure some thing out about this bull ****.

I don't like generally like "people". My friends are a completely different story....

So, the less "people" the better....no matter what the snow conditions are.

This is why I quit riding watercraft...too many "people" in a generally limited area of space. I NEED space and freedom. No more fricking boat ramps for ME! ;)

I'm with Winter brew on this one. Even if the parking lot is packed we hardly ever see another sledder all day. Our goal is to travel from point A to point B without using a trail. You would be surprised how much untracked stuff is out there when you make your own route. And 4 good riders in a group is perfect.
