What do I do with these reeds?

Checking things over. Not really sure what to think about these Boyesen turbo reeds and their current condition? Put 400-500 miles on these then replace or do it now? Little bit of chipping at tip and some do not lay down flat? Appreciate any associated thoughts!

2011 Pro with Silber/ 8 lbs / operated at high elevation 10-12k ft

the chipped ones go in the trash. the ones not flat check to make sure they are in correct (yes some have direction to them) and if they are put them in the trash and install replacements

Replace the chipped ones for sure. If the others look fine then I'd leave them. Buy 1 set of reeds for 1 cylinder and slap them in where they gotta go.

Are you kidding me??? If you have em out and they don’t look like gold, replace. No brainer for me. Kiliki on the other hand, has his motor broken down to parade rest every weekend. I’m more of a once per season kinda fella.

Alright that’s sounds like what I thought as well Snowballs. My first turbo sled and I knew they were hard on reeds, just didn’t know how far to push em. Thank you!

Guess I’m gonna look into Vforce 3r as they are a better choice than these supposed Boyesen “turbo” reeds??

Yes, the new v-force rubber coated ones are very durable.
I get 1000mi plus out of them. (turboed)

It does look like the NA guys are having a helluva time with those reeds and idle issues. But to answer my own question it appears to be same same part number used through 2015.
