What did everyone do

Added EVO products!

thinking of buying a new sled maybe go from the 12 1100 turbo to the m8
Whatever floats your boat - it's your decision. Personally, I will NEVER go back to a two stoke as my primary ride after adding EVO's products, and beefing up the driveline to handle the additional horsepower & torque. For this upcoming season, a BC edition KMOD will be added, and maybe a CF tank & hood from C3 to shed a few lbs... cheaper then a new ride.

Its an alright sled stock but a totally different and extremely fun machine with a few upgrades.

what are you doin to beefup the driveline besides the c3 belt drive i like the sled planning on doin some upgrades this year but driveline reliability scares me

The list (again)

what are you doin to beefup the driveline besides the c3 belt drive i like the sled planning on doin some upgrades this year but driveline reliability scares me

I have installed turbie mounts, OSP's engine snubber, polyurethane mounts, and TCL brace, C3 belt drive (comes with jackshaft and slightly stiffer mounts), Team Tied secondary, & MDS weights in primary. Belanger racing's belt guard and disc brake cover finish things off. I may consider Belanger's HD jackshaft before next season - better built then the cat 800 shaft. FWIW, I've never blown a belt... over 600 hard miles on sled with EVO's Big Chute turbo and other available goodies.

I did....

Just went from my 2012 M11 turbo to a 2014 M8 162". I debated for the last two months of winter if I was going to big chute my current M11 or sell it and sno check the 2014 M8. The reason why I didn't big/super chute it? Was because the M11 turbo already takes the biggest depreciation hit over almost any other sled on the market. I didn't want to throw so much more money into a sled then I was going to even be able to get close to getting back when I sell it a couple years down the road. Look over in tbe swap meet section at even M8 turbos and M11 big/super chutes. Sleds with $20,000 - $25,000 invested in them being sold in the $8,000 to $15,000/$17,000 range. Now I'm not saying I wouldn't consider a turbo on my M8. But if I do I'm going to ride the piss out of it and make every dollar worth it because I know I'm not getting it back. Not that snowmobiling is suppose to return your money when upgrading, but I only was out $1,000 when I sold my two year old sled from when I booth it new back in 12'. So I won't complain about that at all. Compared to if I had thrown 10K in after market into it and lost 6-7K on it. Just my $0.02 and what made me go with a more fun M8 compared to a stock M11. Guess I like my money to much...

ya i missed the sno check date so now they want four grandto trade and for that much i could have one hell of a m11 butlike yousaid you better want it till its dead because they loose value so fast.. and before i go get some evo parts and skis/steering and a arms i was woundering what others take was

What happened to me was I sno checked a M1000- in 2007 and ran the wind out of her.. like the sled till the new platform was released--- in 2012:cheer2: So I went to a 2012 M8 and hated it.. it handeled better don't get me wrong-- but in the pow pow-it just was a 800- and didn't take me places the "ole" M1,000 would- and them 800 were way less forgiving..
Anyhoo- I sold the M8 that season and checked the 1100T- -

I have never looked back- and have all evo's stuff except fot the 300+ monsters..
Just an 215 re-flash -- and spot on.. but getting back on a 800.. just is not worth it- EVO's ARE!!!
I still have a 2010 Dragon and ride it even now-- in spring time../ just low on power and cannot be close to as forgiving like the ole' M1000...... but now the 4 stroker is the kick *** one to have.. JMHO

i will be getting the reflash before winter but just worried about reliability in the chain case

I've had the evo flash all season and still on stock chain but adjuster is about halfway to the end of its adjustment. 19xx miles and beatin the crap outta it still that is until the coolant tank puked. Haven't seen my sled in a month and a half since the tank split but hoping for whoever buys it that the new tank is of a better design.

I put about 800km of hard riding on my sled this past winter with the Evo BigChute, I'm still on my first belt. I was having problems with my sled overheating and running inconsistent other then that had a good winter. Im running clutching from WKM and seems to be holding up, clutches and belt do get very hot so I do find myself letting the sled cool down more then I'd like (probably why I haven't blown a belt yet). In the fall I'm going to look over my chain case probably put a beefier chain in and the manual chain adjuster.
