what can i do to my MM700???

We put MPI's high flow mufflers on our, and that opened them up quite well.. If I were to upgrade them further, I would go 144 or 151 track... simply for more flotation and grip to the snow... We didn't do anything as far as heads, reeds etc... We DID however find that putting on a Roller clutch on the secondary made a better sled out of them.... OH, and I would put on NO LESS than 3 inch handelbar risers... A must for MM's...

MM700 mods

Pipes and reeds were the popular mod for that engine. I believe Snotech had them stage tuned up to 140 hp.

With the engine mods, a steeper secondary helix gives it more jump, (I think I had gone from a 42 to a 47 ?)

I would also put a Holzman Atac on to keep it running crisp at elevations and temperatures.

As far as the bar riser goes, I would use a Powermadd with their pivot adapter so you can get the bars forward.

Another big improvement for these sleds is some traction for the boards, I used Sno slips and Sno grips (rail and board grip).

I would talk to Mountain Performance or Hartmann. They did lots of work for the Mountain Max.

I put a post on last week, called mountain max mod update. Look back in the yamaha forums probably between pages 5 and 10. I went with Hartman inc, went with big bore kit 750cc, slp pipes, boost bottle, reeds, air box mod,151, etc. My sled rips now and im very happy with everything.

If you dont want to break the bank, I think most bang for your buck would be a 151, slp pipes, air box mod(go to totally yamaha.com) in the tech pages section they show you how to drill it out. If you need to freshen top end up do the big bore you will not be dissapointed. Good luck, let us know what you decide to do.

One of the biggest downfalls of that sled, besides the power, is the
the front "H" arm. They need to be updated to the 2000+ geometry.
With the cost of that kit, a guy can install a M7 or RMK skid for about
the same money and even save about 20lbs. It will get up on the snow
sooner and flaot a ton better.
