What boots is everyone riding with?

So I am new to the world of snow biking, but I have ridden dirt bikes and snowmobiles a lot... My question is, are you guys finding that motocross boots with extra socks and maybe heated insoles are the ticket, or, do snowmobile boots provide good ankle and arch support when snow biking, especially when standing on the foot pegs?

Motorfist stompers work pretty good. The toe box isn't too huge so shifting is still pretty easy. They definitely don't have the same ankle support as moto boots but they still have some.

I bought some Irish Setter elk hunters after Ausm7499 recommended them to me. They have a sturdy sole that has been holding up great to my kickstarter and my feet stay warm.

Ive been rocking motorfist alpha boots this season. About 40 rides so far and plenty of cold morning starts.

The sole got a little chewed up right out of the gate from the kicker but they are still holding up good and im warm and dry every ride.

Guys just need to be careful to kick down and not sideways so your boot doesnt shoot off the side of the kicker, thats how you rip the sides out of boots, regardless of brand. That seems to be how I see most guys wreck them real fast.

All last year i wore Arctic muck boots but after seeing all the pics of guys breaking bones and ripping off toes I will only keep those in the truck just in case.I started wearing my thor atv style quadrant boots with vibram soles, same ones I use on the dirt I just give them a wipe down with obanoffs paste before each ride my feet haven't gotten wet at all. I haven't wore them in extreme cold weather yet but I think they will be just fine if I layer up my socks.

I ended up ordering a pair of Forma Terra boots, they have a goretex like liner in them and are between a full moto boot and adventure boot. I will say my feet don't get cold easy but when hanging out in the snow not riding for an hour my feet got a bit chilly but no complaints when riding and moving around. Haven't been out much this season but they seem like they'll hold up and I enjoy riding in them much more than snowboard boots which I had tried in the past.

4 seasons kicking a kx5 and my klim's are just starting to wear. i am not a klim guy...don't own a 2-tone dodge or have grey hair yet. but they have a solid boot.

blew apart 2 or 3 sets of motorfists before i got the klim. motorfists lasted a couple rides each maybe. i do have their pants though and they hold up good.

You 'blew apart 2 or 3 sets of Motorfists' ? In just a COUPLE of rides?
Really? Thats weird. I loved my Klims on my Arctic Cat, but I destroyed the right boot completely, like a full blown hole in the sole from kicking my KX 500,after just a couple of weeks of riding.(with a compression release) My Motorfist boots have been awesme for over 200 hrs. It looks like I'll get another 200 out of them.

I wear snowboard boots. comfy and warm, but a bit hard to shift with. you can find them lightly used on Craigslist all day

If you have a kick start bike I wouldn't recommend the AlpineStar Toucan boots. They lasted a couple hours. The lower buckle on the right boot totally ripped off. I had to finish out the weekend and now I am in the process of returning them. I don't know what to use for a kick start bike. I want a MX boot for the support, but the Toucans are a no go unless I go the E-Start route and get a different bike.
