Been searching and searching and thought I found the one. Just got a Dakine Heli Pro in the mail and it don't have enough pockets. 2 large pockets and a small pocket for goggles is it. I have an MSR that is 7yrs old and I need a new one. Need to store the shovel, probe, tools, food, water, and a few survival items I prefer the bag to have a few smaller pouches to seperate the items etc. Any ideas?

Forgot to add........can you give me brief description on pockets/pouches etc please. Been to many websites and none of them have very good info or pictures. Would just like some inner pockets etc to keep a few things seperate, makes things little easier to get to.

agreed, i have one and i love it. 2 small pouches on the waist straps, carries my HMK shovel perfect. the shovel handle fits perfect on one side and my probe fits on the other side the shovel face fits in the middle. there is a small pocket on the outside at the top and then the large main one and a smaller pocket for the hydration system. http://www.hmkusa.com/moreinfo.cfm?Product_ID=190

View attachment 88807I have HMK backcountry and love it.It has 3 internal pockets 2 exterior,shovel and probe pouches, bladder pouch and great strapping and comfort. Had a true North Adventures pack,Dakine,and fox,none compared to my HMK.

I use a Dakine Pro2. Seperate pouch for shovel and other wet stuff, exterior probe holder, lots of smaller and larger pockets to seperate all your stuff. Very comfy, not too big not too small. Also can carry a snowboard if I ever brought it with me....haven't done it yet but anything's possible lol
Called Cycle Barn and they said they had 2 HMK in black but upon arrival they did not!!!!! bought the Klim instead.
probe goes in the little pouch, shovel handle goes in the holder with the buckle at the bottom....i ride with a dakine heli-pro, and have absolutely no complaints....holds everything i need
