What are the chances of this?

I bought an 08 nytro mtx from a dealer in Denver, CO at the end of december.
My Dad just bought one from a dealer in Oregon last week.
Both of them are blue and with no reverse.
The VIN numbers only differ in the last digit, which are one number apart. His ends in 6343, mine is 6344. So one came from Colorado, one from Oregon, both ending up in Idaho and owned by members of the same family. It's kind of like one of those stories of twins separated at birth, then being reunited later on. Maybe it's just me, but I thought it was quite a coincidence!

Thats cool, A few years ago I bought 2 1971 EXT tripples that were 1 number apart from 2 different people ,but they were only about 30 miles apart.

That's a cool story! Different. When I was 14 or so, I bought an XR 80R. It got stolen from the Honda dealer. Well, a while later, I was at the Yamaha dealer, and noticed the same year of bike in the shop. Had the same scratches and whatnot on the tank, and the same scuff marks on the side panels. When i checked the serial numbers, THEY WERE ONE NUMBER OFF.... Nothing I could do, because I had no proof, but to this day, I still say that was my bike, and someone screwed up when they put it in service. Wierd how that stuff works

Same social security numbers

I had a guy in my advanced training at FT Leonardwood in 88 that had the same last name and his middle 2 numbers were 69 and mine were 70. Everything else matched but that. Caused alot of grief when we were signing for chow. The drills would get so pissed at us for trying to play some kind of joke on them.

heh, one of the account numbers for a vendor we use at work is the exact same as my phone number... I used to sit in the general vicinity of our buyer... about once a day I'd hear him rattle off my phone number
