What about these brush things?

Has anyone used the full width brush protector that hangs from your receiver hitch? Do they work ok or do they turn into a chunk of ice and snow? Tired of getting where I'm going and having the trailer look like crap.

They cut down on the amount of ice and slush on the front of the trailer and do turn into an ice ball.

Not an end all by any means, but aren't the worst investment.

I built my own. Very simple.
Went to farm store and bought 2 grain truck mud flaps

I cut a piece of square tube to fit over the slide-in part of the hitch.
To the top of that I welded a 1' piece of 1.5" square tube.
I then took 2 pcs of 1.25" tube. One left side, one right. Slide into 1.5".

Drill thru the top of both tubes, one hole per side.
Use rubber bungee with metal hooks and hook into each hole to hold into place.

I bolted the flaps onto each piece of 1.25, flap on front side of tube, cutting to length so they are about 1" off ground or so with loaded trailer and truck.
