What About A Dragon 700!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am looking to sell my old sled and get a Dragon 700. i dont know a lot about the polaris dragon. Heard the 700 motor was pretty bullet proof. Is there anything I need to know that will make me change my mind? I understand that all makes and models have their problems. But is there any major ones that I need to be worried about? I have done some research. Just want to hear form the Polaris guru's their own .02 cents!

Any help would be great. thanks again guy's

They are a awesome sled . I still ride my 07 when my pro is down . But on a Carls clutch kit, gear it down, and do the Fbomb trick to the track.Change the fluid in shocks and have nitrogen changed and add Fabcraft chambers to the shocks. I also added a hps can. Fun sled to ride or leave it stock and just ride.

Ditto x2. I went from a Gen 2 to an07 700 dragon. Loved it. For sure pay attention to the clutch and get it right or you will be lagging behind. Upgrade the stock shocks to the WE remote adjustables... best $600 spent. The fuel injection is sweet, the chassis wonderful and the motor is worry free. I did miss the low end grunt of my 800, but that can be fixed with gearing. Runs with the 8's all day and without needing a tow rope.

Extremely reliable and a strong runner, no major issues!!! As you can see the original '07 Dragons were very good, 140hp stock to boot! I've also geared mine down to 19/42, clutched for my elevation, SLP pipe and can, intake vents, replaced the shocks with coil over W/E's, F-Bomb track mod, 5/8" rear scissor relocate on the skid, riser, Better Boards, etc. I plan on keeping mine even if I get a Pro some day.

I'd probably just scan through the couple dozen threads dedicated to this sled in the first few pages of the iq forum and have all my questions answered a few times each. Because that's what I did when I bought mine..

What exactly is the f bomb track mod. Never heard of it!

You trim the little nubs off of the track making flat paddles and then screwing in thin trim screws making the paddles firmer. The early 155 tracks were very soft and got up on the snow great, but folded over easy and didn't provide much traction on firmer snow. Much better all around track after trimming, still gets up on top, but does so quicker with more traction.

I bought an 07 700 Dragon new. I haven't had a bit of trouble with it. Fun to ride and goes just about anywhere I care to go. I',m thinking you won't be disappointed if you get one.

I bought a new sled every year and the 07 Dragon 700 was one of my favorites. It was a great stock sled and easy for anyone to ride (my wife and friends feed back). Yes, there are some good upgrade parts out there but it really was a great stock sled. I rode mine hard in Alaska every weekend. I ran it in the stock class at first then after some back country crashes modded just about everything. Carls Cycles has supplied me with great parts and advice. Chris is awesome to work with and can really help you get the most out of your sled. As far as Mods go, your wallet is the only limiting factor. I went with the Holz front and rear suspension, Carls modified Powder Pro skis, Carls clutching, gearing, Upgraded WE shocks, Carls porting, SLP pipe, Air vents, Vforce reeds. The Boondocker NOS gives you a quick boost in RPM on a steep shoot but a pain in the rear for dialing in the old controller. I did lose a piston and crank but that was my fault
