West of Denver

I flew out of the Boise airport into Denver last Sunday. As a diehard sledhead, I could not help but to be glued the window all the way. I noticed some pretty good snow west of Denver in the highest bowls. Im not sure but I think we were still in Colorado, the distance perception at 30,000 ft is insane. Does anyone know where the Hell I am talking about, and If so, can it be ridden. Just curious. I might add that I flew out of Denver into D.C. Four days of not seeing any mountains, Funk dat $hit. They can have their monument and all of that. Give me my mountains of give me death. There is no place like home in the west.

I flew into Aspen from Denver a couple weeks ago. I was doing the same thing flying over the ranges. Thinking "If I could just get my sled up to that point right there.............."

It looked pretty tempting.....too bad my sled was back in Canada!!!!!

I live south of Denver in Colorado Springs and I saw some sleds on a trailer that had snow on it. I believe that some guys ride up that way until the beggining of July.

A few places to ride the permanent snow if your a diehard, chute climber or jumper. Been a late spring and the snow is hanging on if ya got the jone's for it. Check with backcountryislife, he's still hitting it.
