Lots of stumps and no base two weeks ago this Sunday. Was windblown with a hard crust and 4 feet of sugar over the notch, east side was not bad but lots of little trees everywhere and we got stuck lots, no base just dig til dirt. West side towards avy alley and Flathead not bad but again, no base but not as many stumps, could at least boondock a little on that side.
Notch trail at summit was blown clean to dirt all the way and wind was blowing about 70 mph, never had to ride with my eyes closed inside my goggles before.......crazy wind, pushing me off my sled. Not a ton of snow but enough to play, probably a lot more windblown now, hopefully base has settled some. Trail in was good.
