33 days of Italy (Venice/lake Garda/Pisa/Rome) about 10 days) and the Islands of Greece (Santorini,Rhodes Patnos ) for the other 23 days with most in Santorini and one in Athens on the mainland to get our flight.
The Castles of Italy and the waters of Venice and the towns of Sirmione and Malcesine on the shores of Lake Garda are outstanding in their old intact splendor and warring past. The ability of the time of the moments encountered every few steps to move you back in time as you stand in the present will only be fully understood in the future.
The Greeks of the islands that we were blessed to encounter are amazing, honest and hard working.(a few hiccups in the day in Athens mainland though..lol..)
The history and scenes breathe taking.
Their waters and islands of Greece will beckon me my lifetime to sail and explore with their outstanding impact, but forever grateful for the blessing for the taste that will never escape my palate.
The accommodations carved far in the rock walls of the volcano in Santorini not exceeded by any Hiltons or Fairmonts of the world. Thankful for the Greek porters who carry the luggage the thousands of narrow carved steps with the strength of three and the agility of mountain goats.
Thank GOD for the Blessed adventure, and an intact home waiting patiently for our return.
Would I have traded the trip for a few days of awesome powder and a CMX..yep...but don't ever let my wife read this....
