Well I spun the drivers again.........

So the track started ratcheting on the last ride and I hoped it was just loose but I pulled the driveshaft today and saw that one of the extroverts had spun on the shaft. I just replaced them last season. Any ideas why they are going so soon? I am thinking of upgrading to Avids but I didnt think I would need em cause I dont have a turbo. Also going to replace the rails as they are bent. Im going to go with Ice age rails for the stock skid. I have to upgrade to 8" wheels for these rails so I am wondering if Arctic cat wheels will work? IE 20mm bearing on them? Anyway sorry for the long post but if anyone has some input that would be great.

i spun the drivers on my stock apex also. avids are only a little bit more and are proven to last

When you say "spun" do you mean they spun on the shaft? Or the were they ratcheting and rounded the extroverts? If you run your track loose to the point where it's ratcheting it will destroy any drivers, even avids.

by spun I mean that one of the extroverts rotated on the driveshaft about 1/4 turn. How much do the Avids go for?

Thanks guys. What do you figure about the Ice Age rails and wheels? Arctic Cat adjusters or yamaha? I have a Nextech 2 wheel kit on right now so will those Cat 8" wheels slide right on?

Go with the arctic cat style ajuster out the front. Easier and no chance of stabbing the track when a bearing goes.

like big red said, also go with straight rails instead of tipped up. it works alot better when climbing.

Ya I'm looking forward to the straight rails. For this thing not having a turbo it sure wheelies. Better get on the horn with Michelle today........
