Here is what I did to my 2000 RMK hood. Took the sawzall and removed the center section of the hood, then bent up a 1/4" stainles steel frame to replace it. The first material I used was like a spandex material cut so it would slip over the frame, didn't work to well it piledsnow up on the hood. This new material is the same stuff as is used on outdoor patio seats, and I stretched it over the frame pretty much the same way as the seats are built.
I have one that has a couple small melt marks on it.. I can try and get some pics if your interested.. 150 plus shipping???

I am starting on that project right now. I have roughed out the aluminum frame. It needs a few more pieces plus I want to work out the gage pod, lights and windshield. I will let you know how putting the fabric on goes.
