Weak Spark?

I have a Summit 700 and i cant get it to run to save my life its been a huge pain in the rear! I finally got my hands on a shop manual but i still need a lil help, does anyone know how to test a stator? And what about the DESS could that make it have weak spark?

The dess won't make the spark any less. It will either start on won't, if you have the wrong key or the correct key on wrong it won't rev above 3k rpms.

You can ohm a stator but that won't always tell you if its bad. If it has broken windings it will start when cold and die whem warm.

Is it getting gas? carbs been cleaned lately? gas fresh? Have you taken anything apart lately?

Thanks for the info ive been told that if the key is not on right it can do weird things but i messed around with that before but this is different, its getting fuel and air and really weak spark, its hard to see even when you have someone else pulling the machine over, and yes i cleaned the carbs out and gave it fresh gas but the thing wont even pop over. but ill pull the stator and look for broken windings. Thanks again
