We say Goodbye to another RIP Kelly Hatcher

It is with a sad heart that I post this. I did not personally know Kelly well, but his dad and I have been friends for over 16 years.

Kelly was riding up Hogback Mountain by Canyon Ferry Lake, northeast of Helena, MT with a friend on Tuesday. He dropped off a cornice some 15 to 25 ft high, went over the bars, and the sled landed on him. Although there have been conflicting reports, his dad said he died instantly and made no mention of alcohol being a factor.

He was the manager at Mackenzi River Pizza which was closed Wednesday after hearing the news.

I do not know if he was on Snowest. I will try to find out. I am quite certain if was not Hatchers though, don't think he lives here in Helena and he has been on here a long time.

I really feel for his family, especially his significant other and her 7 yr old son. I cannot imagine loosing my son or the love of my life. The memorial is planned for Monday at 11:00. Sean and I are going; his dad has been a good friend for over 16 years.
