WE Holz Upgrade or Exit X0

Hey Guys,

Curious what peoples opinions on the Holz upgrade to the stock front WE shocks are? I am considering this route or going with Exit X0 (which I have in my skid. I can say it was worth every penny to do the Exit rears, I am sure it is the same for the front, but is the Holz upgrade comparable?

Thx

I can't speak to how well the Holz setup works, but I put a full round of Exit shocks on my 13' this year. I had them build the front shocks for no swaybar. they soak up bumps infinatley better than the stock shocks, and they're very good holding position on a rougher sidehill, but I've noticed the sled is a bit goofier on the trail without the swaybar .... With that said, its not so goofy its bad, I just can't usually take corners near as well as the guys with the same sleds who left the swaybars in. I'd be really curious to ride my sled with the front shocks set up for use with the stock swaybar and see how it compared in the trees, but overall I'm very happy with the X0's up front.

I sent the ladies factory WE's off to Andy at www.gasshockrepair.com

He rebuilt and revalved her shocks and they're wayyy better. We also added the springs from Jake at Raptor shocks

Andy charges $20 a shock for a rebuild and $15 per re valve if I remember right. And he WILL have your shocks headed back your way within 24 hours of receiving them. Unless it's a holiday or something like that... Bottom line he's stupid fast.

I had him rebuild my Raptors, a buddies WE's and my ladies WE's, and he completely went thru a set of fox floats. He changed the shock length and rebuilt the shocks for a fair price. So far all have come back above expectation.

Andy is my go to go for sure and he will get all of my shocks every fall for a freshen up.

I want to go this route as well (a arms i ordered have no sway bar mounts.) So that is another reason I want to go exit. I am not too concerned about the trail ride, the stock shocks are brutal bad on the trail.

Exit X1's on all four shocks. It's a little overkill for my level but you can really huck this sled now. I suggest keeping the sway bar on, even with coil over shocks. I don't regret these shocks in anyway at all. They do cost money but man is it worth it!

Well ya if you have the money, there's no equal to actually purchasing the high end shocks.... There's a reason why I run Raptors and the lady runs rebuilt and revalved WE's

But you can turn those WE's into respectable shocks for peanuts if you let Andy have them

If I had a female that's what I would set up for her .... I think thats a good idea :)

With that said however, I used to run a Holz skid on my old IQ, and they are quite competent at setting suspensions up, so I'm sure whatever their setup would be would work very good as well .... but yeah, those Exit shocks are totally badass :)
