Water technique for removing primary

Hey people, any advise if you have done this would be appreciated.
I read here last year somewhere, (cant find it now) to tip the sled on its side, remove primary bolt and add a little water. (This is what I cant remember) Was it either wrap teflon tape on the threads or grease, before tightening the bolt back up to remove the clutch?
Its an 04 Summit 800 and no, I do not have access to a clutch puller bolt.
Thanks

Yes...it will work.
Use water, fill the cavity with sled on it's side like you said. 4-5 wraps (sometimes more depending on tape used) of teflon tape on the bolt (or a puller) and run it in, preferably with a small impact. It will pop the clutch as long as you get a good seal, might take a few tries to get the proper amount of wraps. If you use a puller it comes off before the puller even bottoms against the crank stub.

I wouldn't use an impact, air gun, on the clutch bolts. You risk the chance of damaging the crank. My .02

Using a small impact with the water method is fine, youre not actually using the impact of the gun against the crank youre just after the speed of spinning the bolt faster to help with the hydraulic principle.
