Water Skiing Pics

Was visiting the Utah section and they had a bunch of pics of skiing on Powell and other lakes. Really liked them so I figure we ought to share our pics of cutting glass.

Memorial Weekend 2009, my wife needs to work on picture taking.

Few years back 2 days after ice out. Surface temp was 34-35. Gotta love dry suits and layers.

Hopefully I can get out and hit it harder this year, having young kids really cut into rope time the last few years. Try and figure out how to scan pics as well, I got some real nice shots on film.

You are crazy Robb! But I have gone out right after ice out before, but now that I older, I wait until the water is a little warmer!

I use the same technique as wakeboarding, except once the slack is taken out of the rope, I will have the driver idle forward until there is pressure on the board. Once there is resistance, my feet are in place and I scream hit it. once moving, I will bring my front foot forward and stand up.

What I find difficult is trying to go wake to wake on the skate. The concept of jumping is similar to ollieing on a skateboard, but for some reason I cannot compensate for that off axis tugging from the boat to land it. I can hit the wake and get plenty of distance and height (3 feet) but I cannot keep the skate underneath me... On a wakeboard I can go wake to wake without even breaking a sweat, but a skate? LOL!
