D driller Free Member Jan 12, 2008 #2 It just unthreads off the shaft right hand thread so you turn it counterclockwise to take it off may want to remove oil pump to hold shaft as if you don't you will be putting all the torque onto plastic gear that engages with the crankshaft. Driller
