water pump?

my buddy has a M6 and it is leaking antifreeze from the water pump. i think it is just the seal but im not shure. do u have to pull the motor to get at this. a nother thing i was thinking was to try using some radiator leak stop. but im not shure any advice would be nice thanks.

i did mine from the bottom,and absolutly do not put stop leak in it will collect in the exchangers making them less efficiant

yea thats what i was woundering
