I watched the polaris mechanic take mine out, he used a screw driver and pried it out. (about impossible to get it out without ruining it). Then to put it back in (a new one) he had a "special tool" looked like a socket that basically did 2 things, put it in straight and set the depth correctly. Since they were $28 each I just let them do it and charge me 1/2 hour. I read that most guys ruin at least one learning so I figured that method was cheaper. Good luck.
