Water pump help

I had a little coolant consumption issue this season (a cup every couple tanks or fuel) and since I'm installing a 925 top end this off season and I thought I would pull the engine and do the water pump seals since this bottom end has a fair bit of use and the miles are unknown.
I did a search and it sounds as if I need some special tools.
Here is what I found on the search from "Funoutfitter"

I don't know if you will see enough air to get past this seal to create a lean condition or not. Yes this can be replaced without splitting the case, once you remove the oil pump and the input shaft retainer you must remove the water pump cover and impeller. Then the shaft can be removed out the oil pump side of the case. Then using the special driver you can drive out the mechanical seal from the oil pump side of the case. After that you can access the oil seal located behind the mechanical seal. If you plan on doing this you will have to replace your mechanical seal as well, when you replace the mechanical seal you must be very careful with the ceramic seal to make sure you do not touch it with your fingers as the oil in your skin will etch the ceramic and cause it to leak. I believe there is a tissue sent with the seal to use when installing the ceramic seal so you do not touch it.There is a special driver made by A.C. to install the mechanical seal so it seats correctly on the case. Also there is a plastic bullet that goes on the end of the oil/water pump shaft during reassembly so the end of the shaft can not cut the lip of the seal when you are sliding it through.

So I have the shaft out and ,,,, Going to the cat dealer tomorrow I hope I can get way with out buying cat tools.

So it was leaking to the inside of the motor and not out the weep hole? I have seen many a sled leaking through the weep .

I have never done one on these nut you do need to be careful I've done them on a polaris that way was just real care full.the outer seal is pretty easy.
