Has anyone installed water meth injection on there none boosted Nytro? I can understand the benifits of using it on a boosted aplication. But stock? The dude at the (truck)performance shop claimed it would give me 70 hp on my old chev truck. An exageration i'm sure, but if it would give 10 hp to my nyto I might shell out the $450.00 bucks. and when I can afford boost I'll still have it.

On a stock sled there would be no measurable gains. The purpose of meth is to raise the octane of the fuel charge.....to eliminate or help eliminate detonation. Unless you are running high cylinder pressure (BOOST) or super high compression in a naturally aspirated configuration you would not benefit from this application.

im working on this right now.not sure why you feel it would not help a naturally aspirated motor?if you know something i dont know, id really like to hear before i spend too much time on this.
from what i have learned it should make any motor more efficient, which in turn will also create better fuel economy, more torque, and lower the octane needs of the motor.im pretty new to all of this ,so if there is some info. out there about why it wont work, please direct me.im even trying to design one for a 2 stroke. amp draws are my biggest issue so far....
The way I understand it is it help the feul air mixture atomize better much like NOS. But I also dont know much about it.

water meth injection is primarily for cooling the cumbustion chamber increasing octane , depending on the mix you can gain performance as will due to the meth itself. how ever as has been stated, its for high compression, boost, so I don,t know that you will see the gains with a stock motor due to the fact that the cooling affect may actually hurt you. due to the lack of compression and need for more octan. kind of like running race fuel with low compression it doesn,t work its too cold for proper combustion.

add some timing & compression & it will work wonders & make some good power.it is for lowering cylinder temps,cooling your air charge & eliminating deto.
how much are these kits and who sells them, are they injected manually , do they inject into carb boots, similar to noss setup? thanks
Check out the Alpine guys for the Apex $699, not sure how much for the Nitro..

me to this guy really knows allot about meth kits & has done allot of testing he has ran 91oct gas at 26lbs boost for 460hp with no probs will get you all set up & is in canada.
