Water injestion

03 Escape. Everytime in powder, when hood gets covered, it farts and chokes. I open the hood and see water dripping out of the air intake under the hood. Tried sealing everything I can think of including the head light. I was wondering if I put some of that SLP pre filter would it help. Been fighting with for a year now. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have a SLP intake kit? If not try that, the ones by your knees and around the speedo and tach and the air horn kit

are you running the stock air intake or SLP airhorn? is the foam on top of your airbox sealing good against the hood when it's closed? Is the cover on the bottom of the hood, under the headlight in place? Thats all I can think of right off hand. Good luck

Have the SLP air horn hit. Also have pre filters by your knees and the speedo eliminator. Can actually see water in the area behind the head light. Can't find where it is coming in from.

I drilled a hole and installed a 2" long tube to direct the water away from the intake. I put it at the front, low point on the hood intake. This let it drain out between the plastic intake and the sponge donut.

How big did you drill the the hole? You used the hose to make a dam in front of the Intake hole?
