You guys been looking at the news? Washington is getting pounded with snow, rain, ice, sleet, ice, ice, ice, snow, rain. Yup That's about it. Just check the news. I know I'm going to have a rough night though. No electricity until AT LEAST Sunday.... At least I don't have school! More time to do those projects and pull my grades up!
Well I'll see you guys tomorrow. :ranger: I'm going to stare at my wall. After all, it's what you old guys did for entertainment right?:face-icon-small-win

Have fun when the power goes out.... better go buy a genny.
The power has been out for a day already. The generator is hooked up to the heating.. Well. It is. Been trying to get the **mn thing running today.

Yea its no fun getting to bust pow in your truck and having over the hood snow in it :behindsofa:

In Montana we just call this life in the winter it seems that people jump to the state of emergency really quck anymore. Good luck minten get fuel for the sled just in case you need it for transportation.

How much snow actually fell?

I hear they cancel school in Seattle when they get an inch.

Has it been determined that he physically has a sled to get fuel for? I know his business card portrayed him as having one, but honestly, I haven't actually seen a thread that gives credit to his actual snowmobiling background.

I agree on the whole jumping the 'State of Emergency' bandwagon lately. It used to be events that created massive destruction and probable chances of casualties before a state of emergency was declared. Now a few inches of snow or a 40 acre fire that burns 1 building down and the governor is on the phone with congress. Definitely glad at least we don't get the ice storms like WA does.

in washington in the lowlands i doesnt get like this. people dont know how to drive in it, trees are falling on people and dot crew, and in 1 day there were over 800 accidents called into 911 in Thurston and Pierce County alone.

In easton we got close to 3 feet from this storm. City people definitely cant drive in snow!!! Unless they are used to coming to the mountains.

Been without power for 3 days. Everything seems to be back to normal.

Sure was a heck of a storm. Been a while since I had to chisel my way into a vehicle before.

In Kansas City the Cancel school when there is a CHANCE it may snow. You should see what happens when it actually does 2 inches and work is canceled most everywhere.

It isn't the snow, it is the fact that most times it rains and then snows, and the roads turn into a very slippery mess. Also the fact that there are steep hills everywhere.

I lived in the UP of Michigan where they get about 200 inches of snow, and the roads are snow covered for much of the winter. Also lived in the midwest most of my life, through many big storms.

Things get a lot more interesting with steep hills and very wet snow.

Hats off to the crew from BC! A crew from Kamloops got the lines up and off my mail box, driveway and street. 4 days no power, time to wrench on the apex.:canada::canada:

Got Lucky this time. Only out of power for 2 1/2 days, but the cutting our way out of and into home was a pain. 1/2 mile of private rd
