Washington Moose????

There had been some rumors about a couple around Lake Wenatchee, and in the Entiat Valley. Also heard of them south like Walla Walla, think it was in the news a few years ago. The population has increased from a low of ~50 to the last number around 1000-1250 in the state. As long legged as they are it probably wouldn't take them long to walk across the state! I ruined a deer hunt up by Tonasket one year hiking around looking for a moose. It would be cool to get some photos. Funny thing is, that the expectation is for the numbers to decrease as the land that has been logged matures and there is less new logging (and more in Canada).

Saw one by Lk Wenatchee last winter hanging out along the Chiwawa River. Neihbor said he has seen 3 in the same area. Way cool until they start using the sled trails.

Dam it; there goes another hunting season! I'll try and get a picture! here is a cool one of a bear on the Wenatchee River.

We saw two of them backpacking this summer just north of Winthrop. They were the first I've ever seen in the cascades. Just like most bears we see, they were pretty timid, took off into tree cover and watched us from a distance. Unfortunately we didn't get any good pictures.

Do a lot of elk and deer mapping around the lake wenatchee area and I've seen at least three, not to mention the two we had in downtown wenatchee couple months back.

That's wild!! How, and why are they cruisin downtown Wenatchee?!! When I was a kid there was a story about a moose stuck on an ice chunk floating down the Columbia....I think my mom even had a picture....very cool!

Moose would be awesome to see around here in numbers.

But I do need to point something out...
Graveler started a good thread and did not once bash XP's or the guys who ride them while doing so.
Can we even be sure this really was Graveler?
