Washers inside primary 04 Rev ???

So cleaning clutches on a new to me sled. There is octagon shaped washers that sit in the movable sheave where the Governors cup rides. This clutch had two of em and one is broken in two Looks like there should have been three of them? What are there function and the can I remove them or should I replace all three? Thanks Dino

The octagon washers are used for balancing the clutch. There are not usually washers in all three positions. May be worth while to have it rebalanced.

It appears to have only had two washers in it...judging from the scratch marks from where it came from and the third spot is clean. Dino

I know someone who had one dislodge and snap the end of crank off. I would take them all out and have it rebalanced.

Damn Dino ... that sucks! Don't run it like that without getting it balanced back up. Maybe, if the busted one i salvageable, weigh it and see if you can get a replacement of equal weight ... you might be able to install it and not need a re-balance. Just a thought. There should only be 2 balance weights in there max.

OK took the clutch to the dealer, his parts fisch dosent show any washers or # for such a thing, said he would call Ski Doo tech on Mon and try to get to the bottom of this. ???He had 5 tra s laying around and we looked at all of em...not a washer one! He said he has never seen one before, he thought maybe aftermarket?? The washer don't weigh nothing...but I still feel nervous about the clutch now. I will contact wilderness sports on mon. Dino

Mine has 2 balance washers ... definitely not aftermarket. I'll look for a part # for ya Dino and PM you if I find one.

Clutch is in a box headed for Mr Lofton, Wilderness Sports to be balanced, removed the one washer that was in it and cleaned it , reassembled it. When I get it back there will be no washers in it and it should be good to go Thanks Highmark 860 for posting his site,.... for you!!! Dino
