until doo released a 1200 4 smoker.....how many yami die hards are gonna jump ship to the light side?....yami better step the light weight game up next year, cuz a sub 500 stock turbo 4 smoker is the ticket everyone wants

not bashing,.....just looking to go 4 smoke turbo next year and XR 1200 mtn sled (if they do it) will kill yami sales

Ski-Doo can't even get their two-strokes to hold together how's that chassis supposed to handle a 1200cc 4-stroke.........on boost

Doos posted weight is nothing until it is actually built. Plus that is the weight of a short track so add the extra tunnel/track/suspension and it is the same weight as the Nytro.
And I know that the Nytro at its current weight will handle big horsepower, do you know how the Doo will hold up only engineering stuff to be just enough in stock form!

Isnt the nytro only 513 lbs and the brp is 509 lbs. C'mon hatchers, its a no brainer, yamaha all the way. Proven reliability, turbo kits already out, same peak hp with 150 less cc's, more comfortable ride. I know your a yellow undies kinda guy but you'll see the light soon, i got faith in ya bud.

Hatchers has had too much cool aid. He is a dyed in the wool Doo fanboy. He just wants to stir the pot. He does not care about facts, only his never-ending Doo love. Me for one I hope that BRP can realy put something nice on the snow, but I won't hold my breath. I have been BRP'ed already and will not go back soon no matter what.

Ski doo just got their foot in the door with fourstrokes, Yamaha has been doing it for a long time with everything dirtbikes, streetbikes, fourwheelers, boat motors and snowmobiles, and they excell in all of them. Yamaha has years worth of r&d with their streetbike engines, Ski doo just cooked this thing up recently. Ski doo has a long way to go. But at least they realize fourstrokes are the wave of the future.

I think Hatchers is onto something,,, those Yammi guys all might rush back to another New Doo release sled....cause of the stellar BRP performance the last couple years.
I know I'd be lining up to get a New Doo Chassis with an all New Doo engine design ........ as long as they promise it'll be really light.
You smokin that $hit by yourself Hatchers or you sharing with a buddy sitting around in your matching Bee t-shirt., wearing your Doo jammies.

Glad to hear you are thinking of coming over to the dark side. Thats a bright:light: idea.
If there is one thing we have learned..........its dont buy the first, second and maybe the third year of any BRP technology.:p

I for one hope the new doo just rips. I hope is a great sled. That will up the stakes and Yamaha will have to push harder to get even better. I dont think that it will happen. But it sounds like a good idea

if you think true Yammy riders are going to jump ship to BRP's unproven machine(even if it was a cpl yrs proven), you're on crack!!!!
I've come back to the darkside from the shiny yellow world after 5 yrs too many!!!! Never go back!!!! Anyone that values the reliability & "worry-free" riding; will see the light & that BRP needs to listen to the "Joe-public" & fix their existing problems 1st..........oh yeah, they are bringing new machines out every year!!!! LIGHT IS RIGHT!!!! LMAO.

not bashing anyone or anything.......... just stating the facts!!!!!!

you don't see the old faithful cat riders going to their 4 stroke... why?? not the quality or realibility of the yamaha. Doo has alot to prove with their 4 stroke, they can't even get there 2 stroke to work.

I DON'T THINK ANYONE COULD HAVE SAID IT BETTER!!! WELL SAID!!!

well they have reverse on the doo so you have to compare it with the nytro with reverse and thats only 521lbs, witch is only 11lbs difference both short tracked as well, and the frame will hold up. but would like to see what they have i should be interesting for the doo guys, and to see what there going to do with supers and chargers, but they frame is what you need and like alot of ppl are saying the just not holding in that department. we will all see!!!

I am thinking hard on an '09 Nytro turbo'd, I could care less what color I ride, just want to ride the best that I can afford (Turbo Nytro $$$$$$$$$$$)! Gonna be hard to convince the old lady, thats for sure. I will say, my XP flies through the air and lands pretty soft, but I guess there are gives and takes for all things. Gonna have to give up some weight in order to highmark on a turbo.

Can't wait to see the new Yammie '09 line-up. One question, how was your guys experience with parts availability this year on '08 stuff? I have seen some difficulty with my buddy getting parts and is a bit of a concern for me??????

no one thought that they were going to sell like this, new model and all so they didnt produce much so everything is on back order for months, you should see big difference for next year in the parts, tons of aftermarket tho and much lighter.
