Warranty issues

i was wonderin if anyone couldn tell me what modifications on a 2010 m8 would void factory warranty ....i was told any engine mods such as can or pipe would void it?? any truth to this or not?

If the modification caused the failure, no warranty....but they can't void an entire warranty for example not cover an electrical issue because you added a silencer. If you add a pipe and it burns down because it caused a lean condition then they are justified in denying coverage for that.

any and all mods could potentially void any and all warranties so be careful if its new and under warranty I wouldn't go over stage 1, or even just a can you can easily return it to stock before taking it in for warranty work, and don't purchase your mods from your dealer. remember loose lips sink ships
