Warranty Card

I picked up my sled on Nov 26th. I just checked the Polaris web site and it shows I only have a 1 year warranty under my VIN info. I saw the dealer check the box for the 4 year warranty. How long should I give them to update the info? Also don't we get a card or something? When I asked the dealer about a card he said he has never heard about them.

From the way my dealer explained it to me was Polaris only covers the first year of any warranty period, the remaining 1 or 3 yrs depending on what you chose is covered by an independant warranty company. Not sure why this is or if this is entirely true, but it is how it was explained to me.

That's the way my dealer described it also!

My dealer did too. They said it would show up though on the web under my VIN. I called Polaris and they created a case number. Polaris asked me to contact my dealer and refer to the case number to get it corrected.

In the past mine have always showed 1 year on the card. That is with Polaris. After that year is up the remaining is with who they contract the extended warranty with. And if I remember right will be a 50 dollar deductible from them for the remaining years.

sdmc:

Have your dealer punch in the VIN# on his computer. He should be on a different program than us common folk. If you Snowchecked your sled and selected the 4 yr. warranty, you should be receiving the warranty cards and a brochure from Polaris. Usually takes 6-8 wks after you pay for your sled and your dealer completes the deal on his computer. Punching in the VIN# on the Poo site will only show 1 yr. irregardless what warranty option you chose. Doesn't make sense, does it.

Thanks Z - I have to stop there tomorrow. I'll have him check. Funny there are two sites. Just creates confusion.

When I snowchecked my 08 dragon I received a warranty card. When I snowchecked my 11 pro and then again my 12 pro I never received a card for either of those...
