Warning Thiefs At Lake Kachess Parking Area

Make sure you don't leave anything important to you in your rig. My truck was broken into the Monday after Superbowl. Wallet was stolen from console. I didn't realize it until getting home, that it had been missing. Funny thing is I have a newer cell phone that was left alone, probably because of easy tracking for phones. There was a few sledders their that day. We got back to the truck around 1:30 pm. My truck is a grey 2005 ford f-350 crew cab with matching cab high canopy shell. Trailer is a silver Mirage Extreme Snow.

Any information from anyone riding up their that day would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again

If you ever find who it is, let me know so I can watch the *** whooping. You could probably sell tickets!

Yes, had it for 2 days until this happened. Are you going to be too tired to ride Saturday? Sunny Johnson is in the forecast......we can make a later start if you want.

I need a hour to put on my bumper and hood, sat-sunday-monday,never too tired ,might have to have a little late start on sat. where we going??? how did they break in to it????

Summit 800, buzz me up on Friday night, I will tell you the whole story.

Powderbounder and WinterBrew thanks for the concern. I was going crazy eyes for sure that after noon. I can't believe people have the sack to go through with this kinda thing. This industry and all outdoor activities has the kind of people that don't like to generally see some losers messing around with what they work hard for to enjoy. I like to take the right for speedy trial litterally right there in the parking lot or where ever. I can only hope to see this activity going on around my stuff or even any other rigs parked from here on. This is the same reason I don't park at the GC lot. I have heard bad things going on their last two seasons.

BANDSAW+BODYBAG+BEERS=SHARK CHUM!

Hell I don't even charge for this kind of entertainment as long as someone's buying the beers...

Soprano's school of cullinary art's graduate..........

BIG

sorry to hear that Rob, we had a problem with that a few years ago but haven't heard anything for awhile.

Enough is Enough!!!!!!!!!!!

That really sucks to what happened. I hope scumbags like this get what needs to happen to them and i'm not talking about Johnny Law officer slap your hand either ..............old school beat down if you know what I mean. I'm no big guy myself, but if I rode up knowing that somebody was jacking items from my truck or anyone elses vehicle, there would be action taking place of some sort.

Knock on wood that nothing happened to my truck yesterday parked there all day.

You can't do much about it now other than blocking your cards and replacing your lost items. Don't worry though, I will send my friend to help. He might not show out for a while but he will show. His name is Carma.

Several years ago they were using a remote that could open the newer Chevy's. They were taking ONLY a credit card that was burried in a wallet, nothing else and nothing that was easily noticed, then locked the truck. Happened to a buddy and they racked up $12K in Vegas before he knew the card was missing, his bank called him when they saw the unusual charges.

That sucks, you shouldn't have to worry about your belongings in the parking lot why having a good time.
I would recommend contacting the county sheriff's office and make them aware of the situation, the more people report this activity, the more they see it as a problem and can document activities to justify more patrols of the area. It appears to be an out of the way area for the Sheriff's Dept. and these type of activities in that area are not by accident. The scum that partake in such activities carefully plan and watch these areas as easy targets. So the plan is, make it harder, and they will move on to the path of lesser resistance. Kick them back to the ski areas.

It was a big problem years ago at GC and then they put in the camera's and it seemed to drop in frequency. I also got taken and within 4 hours of our ride start and finding our stuff missing, they charged $1200 on my debit cards. Now I take everything and only leave stuff I could care less about.

That sucks, I have been parking up there since the early eighties and have never had a problem. I leave stuff in my truck thinking I’m safe but no more. Thanks for the heads up and sorry to hear of the BS.

As above (or in my case below) I never leave my wallet or anything else important in my vehicle. It is always with me. The hassel of getting it stolen is just not worth it. IMO

GC Was famous for this!!

Few years back it happend to 6 of us all the same day! Bastards got into the trucks, only took debit card and left everything as it was!!! Didnt even notice till I went to pay for dinner that night and by then they had $2100 out of my account!!!

NEVER!!! and I mean NEVER!!! leave anything of value in your vehicle!

Buddy came down once to having his trailer tire jacked as well! Guess they had a flat and needed the tire worse than him!!:mad:
