warn xt 30 winch

one more question i just found a polaris 3500lb winch ready to bolt on for 50 bucks cheaper than the warn xt 30,, I always thought warn was makin the polaris winch, does anyone know if this is true???

I have been using a 2800lb Eagle winch that I wired with Warn solenoid and switch.
Always trusted Warn, but I am on my 3rd solenoid this winter that is going bad !!

yeah warn makes the winches for polaris. i have had warn, superwinch, venom, and rule winches on my wheeler. the only one that made it more than one season was the rule. it was on it's fourth season when i sold my wheeler.

The synthetic is better for using with a plow but when used for normal winching it doesnt spool as well as the wire and tends to bind.

The only problem I have had with my cable was it broke at the hook crimp. Went down and picked up a few 1/8 inch cable clamps and had no issues yet

Had some rope winches come in that were a mess and had to replace the rope they were bound so bad, they had to be sawed apart

I have the Xt30 with the synthetic rope in my Outty....would never go back to cable. Had the rope in my last 3 quads as well. No cut hands, the stuff floats, stronger than steel cable...there's no comparison.

I have to agree with Dave, he turned me onto the synthetic rope a couple of years ago and it's the best thing I did to my quad. It spools out way easier than cable and just plain works better all around! I have it on my Renegade and my KFX700. Had it on the wifes KFX as well. The girls were winching themselves out when we weren't around. They couldn't free wheel cable, but they can the rope.
