Warm-up your sled?

How long, or to what temp, are you guys letting your sleds warm-up to before moving it? I think I saw someone mention 100 degrees...

Thats usually the magic number for me. I let her warm up to 100 then proceed slowly til it reaches operating temp then u should be good to go.

I let mine warm up to 100 before I move it. Once off the trailer, I let it idle a little more to 120 and then shut it down to heat soak the rest of internals. This isn't killing riding time as I'm getting my gear on and squared away while it's heat soaking. Plus I usually get to the parking lot early (Air Force trained me well), so I have the time.

full operating temp. 120-125 on mine. do the same after a stop off while riding. limit the chance of a cold shot seizing anything. why risk it to move the sled a minute or two earlier?? we operate in a different environment than you usually do with a dirt bike or atv. warm sled, VERY cold temps...both air and coolant.
something to keep in mind.

same here. The temps drop dramatically after a short break from being stuck, talking to a buddy, helping someone else out.

2500 plus miles last year on my sled, 1500+ miles on GF sled.

As a side note, no fouled plugs all season even with all that idle time.
