Warm air intake experiment

Has anyone tried this? I set this up for this last weekends ride and had absolutely no carb icing issues. The weekend before with just the pod setup I had there were many times that I'd have to wait for the carb to warm up. I used some gutted clothes washer tubing, and some odd bits from Home Depot. My bike ran the best it's ran all year and the only issue I had was when riding down hill, it wanted to back-fire quite a bit. Not sure if that's a jetting issue or what. Any wisdom from you all would be great. I can deal with this issue a whole lot better than the carb icing, but it would be nice to not hear POP, POP when coming down.

Probably lean. Back fire through the exhaust is lean, through the carb is timing.

As up high posted you are lean.you are adding warm air on decel, try richening your fuel screw an 1/8 of a turn at a time.
