Ok guys i found an 07 summit 1000 highmark x. Just wanting to know if they are a good reliable sled or if they are a gas and parts hog. Any input will be appreciated.

Walk away from it...I have an 05 I love it but it's a high maitenance rig.... ups..craploads of power and decent MPG, downs.. heavy, parts are expensive, requires upgrades ($$$) to reach it's true potential....

are you sure its an 07? thought they discontinued the 1000 in 06.
Thats what i thought too. but that is what it is listed as, i just seen it on ebay (i look through there once in a while) im not really shopping for a sled but the price was pretty close to what i would be able to spend.

Its probably way to much sled for me anyway. If i do start looking for one it will be an 800 of some sort.

07 was the last year for the 1K, they had the fuel mapping dialed in pretty well that year, but as stated earlier they still require a lot of TLC. Probably the best Doo to buy on a budget, an 06 800 Summit 151, great sled.. well built... I'd buy another

05-07 Summit 1000

They were made 2005-2007, they require some serious set-up to get them to work, BUT - once set-up properly the club comes out and the beatings begin!!

Yup. Those previous posts nailed it. If you are the kind that likes to work on your sled and have a fair bit of money for aftermarket parts it will be a reliable sled that wont be out climbed by many 2-strokes out there. But it takes a special sort to have the patience and know how to dial them in, though there is some good online support out there

07 rev X with a 163x16x3 will be a funner sled (imo) lighter, less matinence and reliable. check with roosterbuilt for a clutch kit and a smile that will last all winter!

Thanks guys for the info. But since i dont have a butt load of money to get one set up right, i will pass on it. I dont mind doing all the work my self, i just dont have the money for add on's
