wanting a longer track and shorter shocks

was thinking about upgrading the nytro from 162 to 174 for next year. does anybody know how much longer the tunnel extention is for the 2010 nytro se 162 vs. the 08 nytro mtx? anyone with the part number?

also what length are the new shocks up front on the new nytro's still 17.5 ctc...i'm thinking that shorter and stiffer would be better might stay right side up longer....
anybody know what the part number is for fox float 2's in 16.5 ctc??

I have the shorter Float 2s on my 08 MTX.... I belive they are from an XP. They are 16.5" or 17". Im away at work byt can measure later. They work great BTW.... I also have Mnt. Tamer rear. The lower ride height seems to be more stable on trails.

they are probably 17 from a xp but thats maybe an option also that would bring the front down some....dont know what the ratio is but is close to 1.5 to 2.0 to 1 ...so 1/2" shorter shock is 3/4" to 1" lower hight at the spindle
i have some stiffer springs and it's so much better than stock, with no preload they are ok but with a gap in the spring to the keeper it handles better but im concerned that the keeper will fall out when the front end comes up.
