I'd tell you, but then you wouldn't have your "plausible deniability". Let's just say the sooner your back on the snow the happier they will be, because then you can't go after them for their negligence. I'm guessing they won't tell you why the shocks broke, but they would have to reveal it in court. Nope, I think those stockers just won't do and you should insist on some floats on their dime, or you just won't feel safe. lol

Yammer, I saw your sled when I stopped by there today. I'm glad that they finally and I mean FINALLY agreed to fix your sled. It's BS that it took so long to get authorization. IMO replacing the a arms was a requirement as well, you didn't scratch them.

Where you looking to buy a Nytro?

She's a butte, isn't she?

I stopped by on my way back from a meeting in denver, I had to get my snocheck jacket switched out. They had ordered me an XL. Then I went up this morning to pick up my sled, took an hour and a half for them to get it out of the back, I was not happy at all. To top it off, they really didn't address any of my concerns about the plenum getting snow in it. While I was waiting, I ended up talking to the Yami rep fo a little while.

Never say never, but I can't see me riding one anytime soon. I've got to wear my Dragon out first. Garage is closed until sunday, I'm scheduled in the mtns Thur-Sat.

Thumbs up to Donovon from Xtreme, he pm'd me today and will be looking into the snow ingestion issue this w/e.

So on a weekend with the wife in GL I had another incident with my Nytro.
The right front shock broke again. Same spot on the shock rod. I got back
to our cabin and called Scott @ Xtreme. You can probably figure how that conversation went. The part that cought me off guard was Scott said he would get ahold of Donovan and see if they could get me a sled to finish
our weekend with. About an hour later Donavon calls my cell and said he
didn't have the demo Nytro with him but he had some "other sleds" and if I wanted
to meet him in Granby, he would bring me a sled to ride. By this time the wives already had enough so I refused. He told me I can ride their Nytro
until mine is resolved. Of course thats if they don't need it for a demo.

What dealer offers that kind of service to their customers?

As for the shocks, it's kinda hard to deal with. Yamaha doesn't offer a "upgraded" shock for the MTX. The only shocks I can get is the stock breakers. Xtreme said they would upgrade but the cost difference between
the Floats and stockers is outragous. I'm not sure what to do.

That sucks, but what can you do now? The fox airs should hold up like a shock should on a new sled, and why should you pay for there insufficient load design? TD NY! Must be the geometry and your load don't get along well on the stockers. lol

GIANTS WIN!!!!! Jeffro will be happy!

I don't think it's a load problem, I think the shock bushings are to short. When the bolts are tightened down the "clamp" on the rod-end not allowing
the shock to pivot through it's motion with the "A" arm.

THAT SUCKS! can't believe it broke again.. how far out where ya when it broke?

Isn't that what I said the first time, should be easy to verify. Can you freely rotate the rod end?

Well, Maybe Jim is giving that beotch too much input. IDK, I don't watch him except when he screams out of view. lol

Nope, can't budge it at all, the other side doesn't move when you compress the suspension either... I was following behind Jim when it broke, he pulls over, I pull up and ask (jokingly) "What, did you break a shock?"...

We rode out of the cabin, made the full loop back into town and had lunch.
We left town to make the full loop back around and it broke about 1/4 mile
from the cabin. At least the rental RMK quit before my shock broke. ;)

It does not move Dave. It's obvious what the problem is.

If any of you are looking for a nice family weekend, contact bdubs about their cabins in GL. Nice!!

nobody's else shocks are breaking. So there's got to be a very simple answer. The shock should pivot, freely, on the lower bolt bushing. The two shock spacers length, together, should be less than the bolt bushing. This thing is missing parts, wrong parts, or got put together with parts out of spec.
