Colorado ,,this year is doing sound checks and ticketing by the blm ,,,was wondering about taking my can off and going stock! The denver times reported that they purchased someting like 100 DB meters and passed them out to the officers and traind them on the use of them, concerned obout the turbo, mabe I will spend more time in WY in stead!Or mabe just get Quiet and save some riding areas!!

Kinda true. Colorado State Parks and the USFS in Colorado check for sound levels. However, they have backed off a little because of a process that was not defined very well. Db levels change in different snow pack conditions and there were too many variables involved. I have a good contact at CSP that told me that the intent was really to go after guys with stingers and sleds that you can hear from the next county. In general, all stock sleds are good. Even with aftermarket cans, most new sleds are good as well. Obviously there are many variables from sled to sled, and that too has made checking sound tough. My point is that you are not stuck with the stock can on the Pro. I know the SLP can was good and I think the HPS can would pass too. The test requires that the decibel meter be placed behind the exhaust and that the sled revs to 4k RPM's. At that motor speed, the valves will not be open and the Pro should be fine.
