Walker Evans Rear Shock question

Hey guys, I have Walker Evans shocks on my 05 Fusion 900 and took notice that on the front track shock the steel braided line from the canister with the adjustment knob to the shock itself is loose where it goes into the shock. Can it just be tightened up or has it lost all of its pressure or oil, or whatever travels through this line and needs rebuilt?

Does it seem oily wet around the fitting? The shocks oil fluid does travel throught the hose.
I would remove the shock and remote resivour, then the spring and take the shock through its travel. If there's not much resistance, get it rebuilt.

Thanks for the input. It doesn't seem to be wet with oil at all. I will have to remove it and check it out like you said, and while its out I guess if anything doesn't seem right I will get it rebuilt.

i had one of those do that to me a couple years ago. since i have shock rebuild tools I took the shock off, emptied the nitrogen out and sure enough there was some air bubbles even though there was just a tiny but of fluid where it was loose. if fluid can get out or if it is loose then air can definitely get in. needs a rebuild. I like to do mine every season take apart and check seals and all parts. cannot remember what the psi on that center shock was as I damaged mine and do not use it anymore.

Does anyone know of a good place to get the Walker Evans Shocks rebuilt?
Thinking it would be a good idea to have them all gone over.

I do my own but have heard some great reviews about Hygear(click) and @ $40 plus cost of seals, can't beat that price.

And for Canadians I get all my parts and tools from Frank @ Shocktec in Ontario. He made a great rezzy to add onto your stock shocks with both high/low speed compression adjustments.

Now that I looked to see where Hygear is located, probably more than likely to take them there. It's only an hour and a half drive away from my parents camp in norther PA so that will lower the cost without shipping and will be able to chat with the techs face to face.
