Walker Evans Needle Shocks from SLP

I am new to a Pro coming off of a 06 Summit 800 and I am looking to upgrade at least the front shocks. So far I think the sled is pretty awesome does not seem to be underpowered to me but the front suspension feels like it could use some improvement or at least more adjustments than just preload spring pressure.
I searched on here for infromation about the Walker Evans needle shocks from SLP and could not find any information. They seem to be similar to the Assault shocks but they come with a dual rate spring. I thought I would see if anyone has any experience with them. The price at $660 for a pair seems to be a good middle ground price that would give some adjustments if they are a worthwhile upgrade from stock.

Thanks,

Man I only spent about $150 more than that on my exits which are light years ahead of any walker evans shocks. If it were me I would just go for a set of raptors or exits and be thanking yourself later. If you want a "middle ground" option look into the holz upgrade where they add the assualt reservoirs. At least that is my opinion.

You must have got a smokin deal on the exit shocks because I thought the Exit X0 shocks are $895 a pair and the adjustable X1's are $1,150 a pair. I am considering the Exits and the Raptors which are $1,050 a pair. The only thing with either of those is I really believe they are best done in a complete package rather than just adding the front shocks.

I am really just an average rider so the stock shocks really are useable for me I would just like to have a little better setup in the front and some adjustability. I am sure the a full setup of the Raptors or the Exits would be awesome but I'm not sure if the $2k I would spend is the best decision for me.

The Holz upgrade is $180 for just valving and about $360 if you have the clickers added. The downside to this is they are still 1/2" shaft shocks with stock springs and I have to send them in which will mean downtime. My thought's on the WE shocks from SLP was that for $660 I would get basically the same thing as the Holz upgrade with a true needle shock with 5/8" shafts and dual rate springs and no downtime. If I was to sell my stock shocks I would probably be into it less than the Holz upgrade and have a little better quality shock with dual rate springs to boot. I have not heard any feedback on the WE shocks from SLP so I am a little hesitant to jump on them.

I weigh about 180lbs before gear so I can live with the stock suspension or maybe just upgrade springs for now. I just thought for the money the shocks from SLP look like a good option if they work well. I doubt I am going to be a guinea pig on them though if I can't get any feedback from someone that has actually used them other than SLP themselves.
