Walker Evans Air Shocks - C to C length question

Last spring I picked up a set of Walker Evans air shocks with Fabcraft chambers on them and with the updated piston kits in them. Intent was to put them on and remove the sway bar.

I went to put them on my wife's Dragon 700 the other day after yanking her sway bar, and happened to lay them next to the shocks I took off, and the WE shocks with the chambers are 1/2 inch shorter...

So the take off shocks are 17" C to C and the ones I bought are 16.5" C to C.

Should I just run them in the no-swaybar setup even though they are short?

It is not hard for me to drop them off at Fabcraft but I wanted to get the sled put back together to ride soon...

Is this something that can be fixed without having to replace expensive parts? I have a pair of front shocks that could be "donor" shocks for shafts if necessary but that would be a last resort... would rather have them take them apart and remove some washers or spacers or something if that is how they work...

Ok, got the answer today from Mike at Fabcraft. When the dragons first came out apparently some people felt they were a little too high center of gravity and wanted to lower them a little so upon request they put spacers inside the shocks to shorten them up for customers who wanted to make the sled feel less tippy. So for me (my wife's sled), the combination of removing the sway bar (make it easier to tip) and these shocks might work well, going to try them without the sway bar and see how the combination works.

The limiter strap on the track is in the middle position. I guess we will start there.

Yah weird. Put 2010 walkers on my 08 rmk and the nose sits a lot higher with the walkers compared to the Ryde fxs.

That could be that the ryde fx's were kinda sacked out... as long as the center to center distance when fully extended is right you should be good to go...
