Ok people the dollar was strong so it's the cheapest they have been to order. So I have a lot done to my cr500 so results may vary ... I am ported for 100 octane with a deleted exhaust bridge with a smart carb.... I found for me the lower pull was lacking a bit then there was an explosion of power... With the ignition I just leave it on the most powerful setting.... The bike idles way better... The power starts way earlier and is a constant hard pull from 4000 to 8500... It is a cleaner more responsive linear crazy powerful pull.... Now is this one of the first things you should do.. Nope.. But if you have done a lot and you are looking for a bit more power with a much better delivery this is highly recommended... Plug and play

Cool Thx for the update. Does that one have a real stator? How is it quality wise, does it seem destined to fail? So much of the 500 stuff just can't take the vibrations.

I have the stock stator with a lighting coil. ALL I bought was the Vortex Ignition directly from Vortex shipped from Australia. It is equal quality to the oem unit.. I would venture to say sealed a little better. I feel very comfortable with the unit... For me I have had zero issues with killing too much with the vibes this year by making sure the mount bolts are not only tight ... but not stretched.... Other than that I have not lost one bolt this year....
 
I've been looking for a lighting coil but they are all out of stock so far from every manufacturer, I cant seem to find one.
