voltage regulator

First ride one my 04 900 and it ran great, but at the end of the day no lights and no hand warmers. The bulbs are blown.Friend said it is the voltage regulator?? Does this sound like a voltage regulator or is something else going on?? Any ideas are greatly appreciated..

Your friend is probably right, the voltage regulator is located on the right footwell and has a two wire plug if your sled is carb, three wires for EFI.
