Voltage rectifiers

Are the same voltage rectifiers on 700's as the 800's. Will my 700 leave ME stranded or not. Has Polaris changed them or are they waiting for them to leave you stranded and be towed in and changed at dealer. If they do that it can set up the stator to be weak. Hmmm

voltage regulator failers?

At the end of last season I was asking the dealer the same question. He said to get the part numbers off of the side of the vr. He checked it and said that there was an updated vr for it. They replaced ours under warranty. As well when I had mine off I look at the back side of the vr. The sealant that is used on the back side showed signs of getting hot. It was starting to bubble up abit. So I am glad I change it out before it died and cooked something else. We will see this season how it works.
