go make a visa payment and ask for a balance

balance is 3k more than it should be, so I go home and look online at the account. 3k plane ticket bought nov 24 for a flight from toronto to new dehli that leaves dec 14.

phone visa, they reverse it and start the fraud investigation.
phone air canada, girl says it happens all the time but not usually a month in advance. anyways, Air canada security will be checking everyone on that flight. Air canada girl says they catch people all the time trying t board the flights, but the tix are usually booked same day.

flight from toronto and I live in Edmonton.

You have to stop making assumptions like that. It's probably a person who sold the ticket to some unsuspecting retard looking for a deal. AC can stop them from flying but I bet they are not the crooks.

could be, maybe I am wrong, AC security will hopefully get to the bottom of it. Between them and visa they cross reference the Phone of the booker with the name on the ticket and so on. we'll see. just pisses a guy off that it can happen so easy. Does the microchip visa help for security like that?

It doesn't take a whole lot of electronics to get those to sing, and putting a Palm and an antenna with some circuitry tied to it in a briefcase then walking through a crowd is all you need to get credit card #'s from people.

RFIDs have their place, and it's not in credit cards. Way too easy to exploit.

that's not the kind he's talkiing about! they are coming out with new chips in them and the stores have to get new scanners to read them, not RFID's as far as i know!!!!

Back on topic. Credit card fraud sucks man. I haven't experienced it nor do I want to. My old man had his card # swiped a few years back when he was paying for some stuff with my brother's wedding. CC company called and asked him if he was okay with buying $12K worth of pharmaceuticals... Friggin meth heads

point I am trying to make is that in this case it wasn't the "local guy" next door. it has nothing to do with color so much as the fact that most of the white collar tech crime in this city is perpetrated by people of non caucasian ethnicity. My father in law was deputy chief of eps. we talk, its reality.

when your truck and sled trailer get swiped, thast probably the redneck next door, but this type of crime is different. so don't preach the holy-er than though stuff with me. guys like you and me and most of the guys on this forum who work hard for their stuff will always be at a disadvantage in honesty and ethics to those who decide they can generate income by stealing from others, and lots of them are immigrants. Year ago i lost my wallet for a few days...was returned by a classmate at college didnt think anything of it 2 months later i get a charge for lift kit from www.4wheelparts.com took 2 weeks to get the charge dropped and the whole situation fixed..good luck with fraud it F'in sucks
