Virtually free clutch vent

Tonight I made a clutch vent for my M7. I had planed on venting the whole side panel but since there were some nice holes in the foot wells I decided to just put some vents behind the shock. I just used some mesh steel that was painted black, a 1 1/2" hole saw, and some rivets. I had to take the ski off so I could get the drill in to cut the holes. Over all it wasn't too difficult of a project, and I think my custom vents (that are virtually free) came out pretty darn nice.

Vent looks good but you are going to need some fine pre-filter material in there, add that and some silicone around the edges and it should work good you cant have any snow getting in there. JMT

What he said^^^.

Those are going to get warm from the heat and the snow is going to stick to them like crazy.
There are little round Frogs Skins sold in 3 packs that would be perfect to put over those holes.

put them in front of your metal vent, ie farthest from your clutch. The object of the frogskinz is to adhear to the outside edge of the hole with their sticky peel off adhesive, your metal screen will be added support behind it, which is good to have in that area.
