I have seen guys doing a black vinyl wrap on there tunnel and I have been looking on line with no luck on where I can find this. Does anyone have any info? It would be much appreciated thanks!

Some have been using 3m 1080 scotch print. Google it, lots of options. I'll be doing mine either this weekend or next with it.

3m 1080 is very easy to work with, I had a friend help a little made it a lot easier, don't get the heat gun to close it doesn't take much to get it to shrink around rivits, I only did behind gas tank to the taillight looks good something a little different, good luck

Thanks.. This was my first time attempting a wrap i got the idea from another snowest member Die Hard Poo.. He gave me some good pointers. Basically remove everything including gas tank, take all stickers off, i removed running boards made it easier cause i replaced them with the burandt boards. I also took off the tail light shroud, bumper and the tail light/ plate too. I ordered the flat black 1080 print online u will need a 5x6 sheet. Also ordered the primer dabber which helps in the spots that the wrap could lift. Cut a 20inchX6ft strip and two 10inchX6ft. I started on the top tunnel all the way forward and let it over lap both side and worked it from center out and wrapped it down around the lip on the side of the tunnel and cut it with a hobby knife. Then the sides i started about 1/2 inch above that lip that you seamed the top wrap with.. Then as i started to work it down i basically skipped all those holes and then worked it all the way down from there. Once done i went back up to those holes and began peeling it back a little and working the wrap into all the holes and then cut the extra 1/2 inch of material off under that lip again! A second set of hands really helps. I used a hair dryer and when i came to rivets i would heat the material up a little hotter and then work it with my fingers around the rivet. I used my hand and fingers alot more than a squeegee. For all the holes just heated it up and stretched and worked it in every hole, very forgiving stuff if u get a wrinkle just pull it back and heat it and work the wrinkle out. I found out just try not to pull and stretch it alot when you are heating try and let it lay as flat as possible.

Good luck!
Brian

3M DI-NOC

Here is mine with the 3M DI-NOC carbon fiber. It held up good so far with 3 days of riding this season. But I did notice it is harder to keep the engine temps down now coming up the trail (Im sure the turbo doesn't help the temps).
