Videos for the internet?

What is everyone using to post them?

Seems youtube has a 10min max length, free photobucket is 5 min and 100MB. Also, what have you guys found is the best compression method? I am using premier elements so my options are limited to those.

I use MPEG-4 video, "high" quality, key frame every 24 frames, 320x240. Recently I've taken a liking to h.264, great quality video and it compresses nicely; although on playback it eats quite a bit more proc/ram than MP4. Audio I just use 128k stereo MP3.

Can't help you much on hosting... may try Google Video, although they probably hvae the same restrictions youtube has since they bought them...

Either get yourself a website/server. Use a buddies website. Live with the crummy Youtubes. I use Website Source for my website but it may not be cost effective for everyone. I pay 23 bucks every three months plus yearly domain fee. BUT you can't beat crystal clear vids on the net.

yah, thanks for the info, I am looking at a possible solution to get away from the free ones for video storage.

there is a uploader you need to download from youtube in order to post videos over 100mb

don't gotta cut your rez short dude..
make QT or WMV for the int0rnets.. keep the size large, like 640 i think it is.. use 1mb to 3mb render quality... perfect for the net.. still a 20 min vid might be 50mb or more, but shoot, 90% of your viewers have highspeed these days..

send message and i can possibly walk ya thru ftp upload to my server..
