Where'd the Cat go you ask? We had some technical difficulties with is.

Certainly hasn't been a stellar product launch. The first power valve issues were very weird to hear of on that engine. The second time it blew up made me wonder if something was installed incorrectly. Hopefully the new motor holds up.
It seems like the blue mountain cats are the ones having issues, especially the ones made for Canada.
I also think Cat is in the spotlight right now in light of Textron ****ing them. Lots of eyes on the 858. The new chassis is also an actual new chassis and not some refinement too so people are excited for that.I wonder if Cat is getting more attention about the issues on the 858 because their previous motors were pretty good and Poo doesnt get that much attention about stuff because they havent had stellar product for a long time and its just the norm?
No Doubt they are suffering from enhanced observation as people are worried they MIGHT vanish and leave them holding very expensive defective sleds.I also think Cat is in the spotlight right now in light of Textron ****ing them. Did you forget how terrible the belt life was on 2017 850s or how many 2019 Poo 850s blew up?Certainly hasn't been a stellar product launch.
The Doo 850s had engine issues that first year too. Helped a guide rescue a seized rental that year, and he said they had 7 of them seize so far. The bulkheads were brittle as well, they had to beef them up and add bracing for 2018.Did you forget how terrible the belt life was on 2017 850s or how many 2019 Poo 850s blew up?
Never had any trouble with 2 17s and an 18. No blown belts either. A bunch of the weak bulkheads was bs also. People riding with low snow and hitting stuff. Christopher was one of them. Muskoka had a new doo blow up first ride. Think it was 2 years ago. They all have their issues. It's like buying a truck. You get lucky or you don't. Cat had some 18s blow up. None of this was a pandemic like the 07 doo. You only hear the bad stuff. The site numbers aren't really a popularity contest. It's who is having more problems. Of course polaris is winning. The Doo 850s had engine issues that first year too. Helped a guide rescue a seized rental that year, and he said they had 7 of them seize so far. I agree, most of the problems people whine about on the internet are much less widespread than they make it seem. I have experienced or personally witnessed some of them though, the 2017 Doo issues I mentioned all make that list. Just pointing out that the golden child of reliability has had some bad years as well. I've never actually owned a Cat, but the couple I've been around haven't had major issues, just small gremlins for the most part.Never had any trouble with 2 17s and an 18. No blown belts either. Like no hand warmers. I got lucky on 17. Never blew a belt and had it in stellar snow. Talked to people who did. I'm sure it was due to my stellar break in method. Sold it to a friend and he never blew a belt. Guaranteed, it needed a belt because I think it was in the lower teens when we sold it to him. He ran the same belt we had in it.I agree, most of the problems people whine about on the internet are much less widespread than they make it seem. But once we put the aftermarket braces in place it was never an issue againNever had any trouble with 2 17s and an 18. No blown belts either. A bunch of the weak bulkheads was bs also.
